Beth Ray

Started six seasons for the Waterloo softball team. The Cougars won state championships in 1993, 1994 and 1995, with Ray leading the way. She was a defensive standout at shortstop and a constant threat at the plate. She was the state tournament MVP twice and All-Tournament five times. Her 31 homeruns in 1995 is fifth best and her 131 RBI that year remains seventh best in the Alabama High School Athletic Association record book. He hit over .500 during her career. Waterloo posted a 214-69 record during her six seasons. She also excelled on the basketball court and was chosen to numerous all-county, all-area and all-state teams. She averaged 14 points and seven rebounds during her career at Waterloo.
