Danny Hendrix

A state champion wrestler at Coffee High School during his senior season in 1972-73. He produced a 20-1 season record during the year in the 105-pound class. The effort included 12 pins. He was voted the Most Outstanding Wrestler in the TVC Tournament. During his four-year high school career, he posted a 37-5 dual record and 69-20 overall record, which included 48 pins. He was the team captain during his final three seasons. In addition to winning the state as a senior, he finished third as a junior. He was voted to the honorable mention All-American team in 1973 by Scholastic Wrestling News magazine.
