E.D. Redding

He coached the first football team at Brooks and continued until his death in 1973 at the age of 41. His teams posted a combined record of 30-16. The high school stadium bears his name. He also coached in Georgia.  His track team at Brooks went 30-2, winning several regional titles. He was an All-Tri-Cities high school player at Coffee and played at Florence State Teachers College.
