Earl Grisham

Earl Grisham was always a winner.  He knew how to win when he was a standout running back at Lauderdale County High School.  He won again when he attended college and certainly won during an impressive career as a head coach.  He was four year starter for the Tigers, scoring 43 touchdowns during his high school career with 21 of those being tallied during his senior season.  He made the All Tri-County Team twice and was team captain during his two seasons.  He participated in the state All Star Football Game in 1954.  He earned a scholarship to the University of North Alabama where he played wide receiver.  He was a head coach on the high school level from 1958 until retiring in 1991.  He returned home in 1966 and put together a 156-105-3 record at LCHS.  His 1974 team won the State Championship.  The Tigers advanced to the State Playoffs nine times and won 4 Area Championships.
