Jeff Bevis

Was first team All Area and All County in football his junior and senior seasons at Wilson.  He caught 16 passes for 174 yards in a single game.  He returned punts and kicks and had two punt returns for touchdowns.  Stats for his senior year include 27 catches for 348 yards in 6 games.  He made All County and Honorable Mention All Area in basketball while averaging 11 points per game and 8 assists.  He was All Area and All County in baseball also.  He played pitcher and first base.  He had 2 no hitters and threw 140 pitches in a 15 strike out game to win the Lauderdale County Championship against Bradshaw.  He was the MVP of the East West All Star game with 8 home runs, 45 rbi’s, hitting avg. .461, and 2.95 era at the mound.  He signed to play baseball at Calhoun Community College where he led the team in hitting both years.  He batted .355 as a freshman and .370 as a senior.  He was a Junior College All American selection.  He signed to play a the University of Alabama where he batted .304 his senior year and his team made it to the Regionals.
