Michael Williams 

Chosen all-state in 1990 as a defensive lineman for Lauderdale County, and also named the county’s offensive player of the year during the same season after finishing with 115 tackles and three fumble recoveries. Played on both offensive and defensive lines, making all-county three times and all-area on both sides. Made 32 of 36 extra points. Helped team advance to state quarterfinals in 1988 and 1990. Signed with UNA and is now a member of the university’s athletic hall of fame, all-decade team for the 1990s, and 50th anniversary team. Made several all-American and all-conference teams. Has been an assistant coach at Pell City, Lexington, Muscle Shoals, Wilson and LCHS. As line coach, he helped the Tigers to the state playoffs twice.
